# Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Alitasdiary collects when you visit alitasdiary.com, how it gets used, and what choices you have. Read it, bookmark it, come back if something changes.
## What We Collect
There are two ways information ends up with us.
**What you give us directly:** – Your name and email address if you fill out a contact form or sign up for anything – Any message or submission you send through the site
**What gets collected automatically:** Every time you load a page, standard technical data is recorded — your IP address, browser type, device, operating system, the pages you viewed, how long you stayed, and where you came from. This happens through our own systems and through the third-party tools described below.
## Cookies and Similar Tech
Alitasdiary uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. They fall into three categories:
**Strictly necessary cookies** keep the site working — things like remembering your preferences or keeping a session alive. You can block these in your browser, but parts of the site may break.
**Analytics cookies** help us understand which content is resonating and which posts nobody is reading. This data is aggregated and used to improve the site.
**Advertising cookies** are set by our ad partners (see the next section). They track your activity across sites and sessions to build interest profiles and serve you relevant ads. You can manage these — more on that below.
## Advertising and Third Parties
Alitasdiary is supported by advertising. That means ads appear on this site, and running those ads involves third parties.
Ad networks, supply-side platforms (SSPs), and measurement vendors we work with may set their own cookies, pixels, or device identifiers when you visit. They use those identifiers to serve ads — including interest-based or personalized advertising — and to measure whether those ads worked. They may collect your IP address, device identifiers, browsing behavior across other sites, and inferences about your interests.
Under US state privacy laws (including the CCPA/CPRA), some of this data sharing qualifies as a ”sale” or ”sharing” of personal information, even when no money changes hands between us.
**How to opt out:** – **Browser controls:** Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in Settings. Blocking third-party cookies limits much of this tracking. – **Industry opt-out tools:** Visit [optout.aboutads.info](https://optout.aboutads.info) (US) or [youronlinechoices.com](https://www.youronlinechoices.com) (EU/UK) to opt out of interest-based advertising from participating networks. – **Global Privacy Control (GPC):** If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information.
Note that opting out of personalized ads doesn’t mean you’ll see fewer ads — it means they’ll be less targeted.
## Your Rights and How to Use Them
**If you’re in the EEA or UK (GDPR):** You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, and request a portable copy of your data. Where we rely on consent to process your data, you can withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
**If you’re in California or another US state with privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA and similar):** You have the right to know what personal information we’ve collected and how it’s used, to delete your data, to correct inaccurate data, to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
**To make any of these requests**, email us at contact@alitasdiary.com. We’ll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law — typically 30–45 days. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
## Retention and Security
We keep data only as long as it’s needed for the purposes described here or as required by law. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, though no system is perfectly secure.
## Children
Alitasdiary is a general-audience publication, is not directed to children under 13, and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
## Changes to This Policy
If something meaningful changes, we’ll update the date at the top and note it on the site. Continuing to use Alitasdiary after a change means you’ve seen the updated policy.
